Woes of Time Travel

Colors swirl

To black, gray, and white

Falling,

Slammed against a hard surface

 —

Picking oneself up

Clutching my sides in a hug,

A chill shivers up.

Men dressed in their finest

Women in sweeping dresses

On a regular day.

 —

Scornful looks at your strange attire,

Skeptical glances at i-pod and cell

No one greeted you,

Steering away fast

Pulling small, curious children away.

 —

Newspaper sighting.

Wrong date

 —

Falling

Black to white swirl

To the colors in the spectrum.

Falling,

Slammed against a hard surface

 —

Nobody in their finest

Nobody greeting you;

Newspaper sighting.

Right date
